Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3: Game Design Suggestions. Created: October 2, 2000
The pages on the right are just a small sampling of the volume of ideas that were submitted to Neversoft in Fall/Winter of 2000. I had laid out my concerns for the series, provided feedback and suggestions for control, game engine, animation, sound, environment, level design, trick selection and a variety of other items. Altogether almost 60 pages of feedback were sent only to the staff at Neversoft. They replied to me with positive feedback based on my suggestions.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3: Game Trick Suggestions. Created: December 3, 2000
I wasn't sure if the people at Neversoft could visualize some of my animation and trick move suggestions so I figured out a way to create a whole new trick set from the existing library in THPS2. I captured these new tricks and made Quicktime movies out of them. I put them on webpages and shared them only with the people at Neversoft.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4: Game Design Suggestions. Created: December 2, 2001
After THPS3 was released I paired down my original game suggestions and re-released them along with new suggestions, feedback and criticism as a series of web pages. These pages were originally titled Planet Tony Hawk's Suggestions for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4. In addition I included a few pages of suggestions from players all over the world to be included on the web.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4: Nominations for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. Created: April 30, 2002
I created a web page and online poll where fans of the THPS series and skatebaorders could vote on which professionals they would like to see in the game. I assembled biographies and pictures of 25 of the worlds most revolutionary skatebaorders. I kept the voting fair despite having a few personal favorites on the list and threw out "ballot stuffers." All of the results were forwarded to Neversoft and Tony Hawk and they did indeed take the votes into consideration for the release of THPS4 and Mike Vallely (#1 vote-getter) as a hidden character in the game.
NBA STREET 2: Game Design Suggestions. Created: February 13, 2002
When I set about creating a set of suggestions for NBA Street 2 by EA Sports BIG I knew that I would have to be extensive in my research and suggestions. Some of the best sports and alternative sports titles have come out of Electronic Arts. In order to set myself apart from other suggestions from the game community I had to be as specific and encompassing as I was with my THPS series suggestions.
Street Hoops: Game Feedback. Created: May 26, 2002
I knew that NBA Street would be the mark by which other playground games would be measured. I felt honored when the manager of the AND 1 Mix Tape Tour basketball players requested that I play, review and give feedback to the developers of Street Hoops.
I compared and contrasted Street Hoops to other titles and provided all the help and feedback that I thought could make Street Hoops an exceptional title.
